What is the Committee?
As a registered charity, Windmill Pre-School cannot function without a full committee. The Committee is formed by voluntary parents/carers elected at the Pre-School annual general meeting. The committee consists of:
TRUSTEES
We also have three trustees. They have the overall responsibility for the operation of the pre-school. They are there to provide support and guidance and meet annually with the committee and management team.
How to become a committee member
Anyone with a vested interest in Windmill Pre-School can become a member of the committee. You don't need to have a lot of time to participate and it's a great way to meet other parents and carers with similar interests. We always welcome new members. If you would like to join, email wps@windmillpre.plus.com or speak to a member of staff.

- Chairperson - The team leader of the committee, calls and runs committee meetings and ensures that any agreed actions are put into effect by the committee.
- Secretary - Prepares meeting agendas, records meeting minutes and deals with any written communications on behalf of the committee.
- Treasurer - Has financial responsibility and awareness, whilst also performing the regular banking duties (with the help of a dedicated Administrator) Sarah Heather-Holt is our Treasurer.
- Committee members - Unlike the three officer roles above, these members have less specific responsibilities and are usually involved in arranging the next exciting fundraising activity.
